Preventing school failure starts in primary
Reading and maths difficulties are often detected when they have already left their mark. Acting in the first years is simpler and more effective than trying to make up years of delay later on.
A municipal programme can offer every school in the area the same instrument, so that detection does not depend on each school’s resources or sensitivity.
What it includes
- Universal assessment of primary pupils in reading, maths, sustained attention and working memory.
- Personalised intervention for each pupil, about 15 minutes a day, in the app or on paper worksheets.
- Reports for each school and an overall view for the council.
- Initial support for teaching teams.
How to start: a pilot
We have worked with local councils to pilot the solution in schools in their area. It is the route we recommend: a pilot with a limited number of schools shows results in your own context and lets you decide on evidence.
Data and privacy
Data is processed under strict minimisation and the GDPR, and is hosted in the European Union. The administration or the school acts as data controller and NeurekaLab as processor, under the corresponding agreement.
Paper worksheets are marked on the device itself: the full photo is not sent, and the name and personal details on the worksheet are never sent.
